My dad gave me a book for my 18th birthday filled with letters he has written me since the day I was born. It’s really taking a toll on how my dad feels about me. I had no idea my dad works so hard just for me. I always have been under the impression that it was just my mom and I against the world since my parents divorced. I can’t help but feel guilty for never wanting to spend time with him after reading about how I hurt him by making up excuses to not be at his house. A father’s love is so immense, and I think a lot of girls don’t realize that. I know I didn’t. It just makes me really happy to know I have such a great family that cares about me. I’m so thankful to have a dad as great as mine.
